EKAGUM 473

EKAGUM 473 is a water soluble sizing agent for natural or synthetic staple fibre yarns and blends thereof. The product is compatible with common sizing agents but is usually applied alone.

With EKAGUM 473 medium viscous, non-foaming and viscosity-stable liquors with excellent adhesion can be produced. The product offers smoothness to the warp yarns and results in very elastic size films. Dust formation in the dry dividing zone and on the weaving loom is reduced. EKAGUM 473 can be easily removed from the woven fabric at 80 °C. Adding a wetting and washing agent accelerates the washing process. The product is biodegradable.
