PERIFIL 210: Bath Exhaustion Lubricant for Wet Waxing of Yarns

PERIFIL 210 is an excellent bath exhaustion lubricant for cotton and cotton-blended yarns. Wet waxing with PERIFIL 210 is carried out by bath exhaustion after yarn bleaching or dyeing. Thereby ideal and very even friction values are obtained. The waxes used provide treated threads with the required smoothness for subsequent processes such as winding, weaving or knitting. PERIFIL 210 is approved by bluesign as well as GOTS and is in accordance with the ZDHC MRSL.

Wet Waxing or Hard Waxing?

Yarn finishing with paraffine-based yarn lubricants is carried out in order to improve the running and gliding properties of the threads. Even at high production speeds finished yarns can be optimally handled in subsequent process steps like winding, weaving or knitting. Wet waxing means that a liquid lubricant like PERIFIL 210 is applied in an exhaust process on a yarn dyeing apparatus. Hard waxing means that solid waxes are directly applied on the threads during a rewinding process.

Wet Waxing

If waxes and paraffines are applied on the threads in an exhaust process directly after bleaching or dyeing on cross-wound bobbins on package dyeing machines, the process is called wet waxing. We develop stable, water-based PERIFIL emulsions with water-insoluble oils and waxes for you.

Hard Waxing

If solid, water-free hard waxes – so-called hot melts or cold melts – are applied on yarns the process is called hard waxing. For the hard waxing process special waxing devices such as lick rolls or godets are required. Furthermore, an additional, time-consuming rewinding processed needs to be carried out.

PERIFIL 210: Yarn Lubricant for Cotton Threads

PERIFIL 210 is an excellent yarn lubricant for cotton threads and cotton-blended yarns. Due to its selected waxes the wet waxing agent provides threads with excellent running properties and the required smoothness for subsequent processing. Yarns finished with PERIFIL 210 have a soft handle and show evenly low friction values. As a result, there is less fiber breakage, lower lint formation and reduced yarn damage during unwiding, rewinding, knitting or weaving.

PERIFIL 210

PERIFIL 210 is an excellent yarn lubricant for bath exhaustion and offers perfect and even friction values at lowest possible cost.

Advantages of Wet Waxing with PERIFIL 210

PERIFIL 210 is an aqueous emulsion with paraffins and waxes developed for wet waxing. The bath lubricant is approved by bluesign as well as GOTS and is in accordance with the ZDHC MRSL. Yarn finishing with PERIFIL 210 offers the following processing advantages:

  • affinity to cotton yarns and cotton blends with synthetic fibers
  • level yarn finishing due to complete bath exhaustion
  • exhaust application is carried out on yarn dyeing apparatus, no additional equipment is required
  • bath is clear after exhaustion; no oily or greasy residues remain in the dyeing apparatus
  • excellent adhesion on the fibers; no abrasion occurs during further processing
  • waxes are well emulsifiable in subsequent wet processes or during washing
  • significantly reduced risk of forming stains on piece goods; especially in comparison to hard waxing

Specialty Product for Cationically Aftertreated Threads

Due to its carefully adjusted affinity PERIFIL 210 is the appropriate product especially for yarn finishing of cationically aftertreated threads where usual wet waxing lubricants would not exhaust sufficiently. Additionally, PERIFIL 210 can be used for single-bath yarn finishing and color fixation in combination with cationic fixing agents.
