PERICOAT FL: Compound for the Lamination of Hot Stamping Foils

Printing plants and garment manufacturers can create modern metallic and color effects on textiles by means of hot stamping foils. The foils are laminated in a transfer printing process onto the textiles, which can be either ready-made garments or piece goods. PERICOAT FL is first applied to the textiles via printing screens or by spray application. Thereafter, the foil is laminated on the textile via a calender or ironing press.

Our specialty product PERICOAT FL is a polymer compound for the fashionable foil lamination. By using this product, even the finest lines and highly detailed designs with sharp contours can be realized on fabrics used for outerwear, swimwear and decorative fabrics as well as on ready-made garments. The product creates very soft and flexible films. The foil prints produced with PERICOAT FL are characterized by a high resistance to mild washing and abrasion.

Foil Lamination with PERICOAT FL

PERICOAT FL is applied either by screen printing or spraying on garment pieces or textile fabrics. The polymer compound is ready-to-use. Before the application of the product only the viscosity required for the printing process needs to be adjusted with an appropriate thickener, such as PERIPRINT TN. For defoaming of the printing paste, we recommend the addition of a PERIFOAM defoamer. After the product application, the textiles are dried at 100 to 130 °C. The hot stamping foil is then laminated to the fabric at 160 to 180 °C via a textile calender or an ironing press.
