PERIWET ELB NEW is applied as wetting agent and deaerator for continuous and discontinuous dyeing processes.
In continuous indigo dyeing PERIWET ELB NEW can be used in all process steps which require very good wetting power with high pH values, e.g. during boiling-off. Further applications are as a wetting agent for the indigo dyeing itself and for the bottoming and topping with sulphur dyes.
PERIWET ELB NEW is low foaming at all temperatures and has excellent wetting properties. As the product does not cause foam it is particularly suitable for jet machines. In the alkaline range of pH PERIWET ELB NEW has a certain detergency so that in some cases a separate prewashing is not necessary.
PERIWET ELB NEW has no retarding effect on reactive, vat, sulphur and direct dyes. It, therefore, is used in continuous and discontinuous dyeing with these dyestuffs.
Prewetting with PERIWET ELB NEW improves the levelness of dense fabrics. Used in cheese dyeing the product avoids marking of crosspoints.
