PERIWET AKN is used as wetting and deaerating agent for the prewetting of cellulosic fabrics as well as for the continuous and discontinuous dyeing in alkaline media.
PERIWET AKN is low foaming at all temperatures and has excellent wetting properties in neutral liquors and particularly in alkaline pad dyeing liquors.
As the product does not cause foam it is particularly suitable for jet machines. In the alkaline range of pH PERIWET AKN has a certain detergency so that in some cases a separate prewashing is not necessary.
PERIWET AKN has no retarding effect on reactive, vat, sulphur and direct dyes. It, therefore, is used in continuous and discontinuous dyeing with these dyestuffs.
Prewetting with PERIWET AKN improves the levelness of dense fabrics. Used in cheese dyeing the product avoids marking of crosspoints.
