Wetting and deaerating agent in dye baths of continuous and discontinuous dyeing processes.
PERIWET 176 is low foaming at all temperatures and has excellent wetting properties. As the product does not cause foam it is particularly suitable for jet machines. In the alkaline range of pH PERIWET 176 has a certain detergency so that in some cases a separate prewashing is not necessary.
PERIWET 176 has no retarding effect on reactive, vat, sulphur and direct dyes. It, therefore, is used in continuous and discontinuous dyeing with these dyestuffs.
Prewetting with PERIWET 176 improves the levelness of dense fabrics. Used in cheese dyeing the product avoids marking of crosspoints.
