PERISTAT P is suitable for all synthetic fibres and is used preferably in the exhausting process.
On synthetic fibres PERISTAT P exhausts substantively. The best substantivity is obtained at a slightly acid pH value. Therefore the processing liquor should be set at pH 5 – 6.
If PERISTAT P is used in the padding process, this should be done within the neutral pH range since with this procedure no substantivity is required.
Thermofixing processes can slightly reduce the antistatic effect of PERISTAT P since thereby the product penetrates the fibre and thus lowers the surface effectivity.
PERISTAT P is an antistatic agent with minor softening properties.
On synthetic fibres PERISTAT P offers very good antistatic effects. The product does not sublimate and is not volatile to water vapour.
