PERISTAL PSN

PERISTAL PSN is a stabilizer for alkaline peroxide bleaching of cotton and blends with synthetic fibres. The product has a high wetting power and detergency. Removed soil particles and fibre accompanying substances are well dispersed. Fabrics bleached with PERISTAL PSN show good absorbency. The product is used for stabilizing the alkaline bleaching liquors at temperatures below 100 °C and at HT conditions. It does not contain silicate. Due to the complexing effect of PERISTAL PSN fibre accompanying substances such as calcium and magnesium pectins and other earth alkali compounds can easily be dissolved. In addition to the stabilising properties necessary for a good bleaching effect PERISTAL PSN also has an excellent sequestering capacity for heavy metal ions. PERISTAL PSN protects from catalytic damage of the fibre when heavy metals in ionic form are present. However, it does not protect when metallic contaminations are present. In this case we recommend a pretreatment with acid.
