PERISTAL PSK conc.

PERISTAL PSK conc. is a stabilizer for peroxide bleaching. The product is not surface active and, therefore, free of foam. PERISTAL PSK conc. can be used in the hot bleach as well as in the cold pad batch bleach. It stabilizes alkaline bleaching liquors at temperatures below 100 °C and at HT conditions. PERISTAL PSK conc. is highly resistant against alkali and can be added to highly concentrated alkali. PERISTAL PSK conc. is free of silicate and does not cause deposits. Fabrics bleached by application of PERISTAL PSK conc. have a good absorbency. Due to the complexing effect of PERISTAL PSK conc. fibre accompanying substances such as calcium and magnesium pectins and other earth alkali compounds can easily be dissolved. In addition to the stabilising properties necessary for a good bleaching effect PERISTAL PSK conc. also has an excellent sequestering capacity for heavy metal ions. PERISTAL PSK conc. protects from catalytic damage when heavy metals in ionic form are present. However, it does not protect when metallic contaminations are present. In this case we recommend a pretreatment with acid.
