Very well biodegradable sequestering and dispersing agent
PERIQUEST BSD conc. can be used in a wide variety of applications which need high soil suspension capacity and detergency, for example in washing and scouring of cotton articles, in dyeing cotton with reactive dyes and in soaping of reactive, vat and sulfur dyestuffs.
The ability of removing cotton accompanying substances is improved thus saving the number of rinses required.
PERIQUEST BSD conc. is used as a stabilizer for bleaching with peroxide. Good hydrophilic properties and high degrees of whiteness are the result.
PERIQUEST BSD conc. contains very well degradable sequestering and complexing substances and has superior calcium and iron binding properties. PERIQUEST BSD conc. neither contains nitrogen nor phosphorus.
PERIQUEST BSD conc. is an excellent dispersing agent, it increases the detergency and the capacity of baths to keep removed soil in dispersion. This is of particular significance for short bath ratio systems. The dispersing and adsorption effect serves to displace and keep in solution fibre accompanying substances, preparations and unfixed dyestuffs.
PERIQUEST BSD conc. can also be used for stabilizing of peroxide in the bleaching.
Despite its complexing components, PERIQUEST BSD conc. does not affect dyeing processes using metal containing dyes.
PERIQUEST BSD conc. has a calcium binding capacity of 80 mg calcium per g PERIQUEST BSD conc. at pH 10.
The capacity of binding iron at pH 10 is 900 mg iron (III) per g PERIQUEST BSD conc.
