PERILITH LITE

PERILITH LITE is based on expanded perlite. In aqueous liquors in connection with a possibly high liquor turbulence PERILITH LITE causes a slight abrasion of the textile surface, thus boosting the efficiency of a cellulase. This allows short fibre fibrils to split off from the fibre surface, thus facilitating considerably the creation of handle and surface effects similar to peach-skin. PERILITH LITE considerably reduces the treatment time to obtain the required effect. PERILITH LITE can be used also as a storage material for bleaching chemicals used for the creation of wash out effects on garments made of 100 % cotton or blends with synthetics. For this purpose PERILITH LITE is soaked with bleaching chemicals (for example sodium hypochlorite bleach, solution of potassium permanganate). At the subsequent treatment of textile with PERILITH LITE the dye is superficially destroyed, thus achieving a wash out effect. PERILITH LITE cannot only be used on blue denim articles but also on lighter garments, such as for example T-shirts.
