Fluorocarbon compound for the water and oil repellent finishing
PERIGUARD WS is used for water and oil repellent finishing of native and synthetic fibres.
To avoid a negative influence of the water and oil repellent effects the following factors must be taken into account:
-no residual alkali on the fabric
-free of surface-active substances (for example residual surfactants)
-no silicone residues on the fabric or in the machines
-good pretreatment of the fabric (complete removal of sizes, lubricants, preparations)
PERIGUARD WS is a fluorocarbon product based on C6-chemistry for the water and oil repellent finishing of textiles made of cotton and synthetic fibres as well as their blends. The finishings with PERIGUARD WS show a very soft handle and very low yellowing tendency.
PERIGUARD WS provides particularly cotton fibres with excellent hydrophobic and oleophobic effects. By a combination with an extender like for example PERIGUARD EXT NEW the permanence can be improved. The restoration of the hydrophobic and oleophobic effects after the wash necessitates a heat treatment (ironing or tumbling).
