Fluorocarbon based on C6-chemistry for the water and oil repellent finishing
PERIGUARD WCO is used for water and oil repellent finishing of native and synthetic fibres.
To avoid a negative influence of the water and oil repellent effects the following factors must be taken into account:
-no residual alkali on the fabric
-free of surface-active substances (for example residual surfactants)
-no silicone residues on the fabric or in the machines
-good pretreatment of the fabric (complete removal of sizes, lubricants, preparations)
PERIGUARD WCO is a fluorocarbon product based on C6-chemistry for the water and oil repellent finishing of textiles made from cellulosic and synthetic fibres as well as their blends. Especially on cotton a very good water repellence with high permanence can be obtained.
The finishings with PERIGUARD WCO show a good wash resistance. By a combination with an extender the permanence can be further improved. The restoration of the hydrophobic and oleophobic effects after the wash necessitates a heat treatment (ironing or tumbling).
