Buffer and sequestering agent for alkaline dyeing of polyester fibres
PERIGEN DPS is used for dyeings of polyester and blends with disperse dyestuffs under alkaline conditions.
PERIGEN DPS is a buffer for alkaline dyeings of polyester. With PERIGEN DPS an initial pH value of approx. 9.0 – 9.5 is set. During the dyeing process the pH value is reduced to approx. 8.5.
PERIGEN DPS contains substances which protect sensitive disperse dyes from decomposition by long boiling during dyeing. The product allows for good reproducibility of dyeings.
Additionally PERIGEN DPS contains sequestering and complexing substances and has superior calcium and iron binding as well as dispersing properties. As disperse dyes are not as stable under alkaline conditions as they are under acid conditions PERIGEN DPS is stabilizing the dyes.
