Buffer for the alkaline dyeing process of polyester
PERIGEN DPA is used for dyeings of polyester and blends with disperse dyestuffs in the alkaline medium.
In combination with borax PERIGEN DPA forms a stable buffer system for alkaline dyeing of polyester. With PERIGEN DPA plus borax an initial pH value of approx. 9.0 – 9.5 is set. During the dyeing process the pH value is reduced to approx. 8.5.
Polyester oligomers are successfully saponified, precipitations of oligomers are reduced significantly.
PERIGEN DPA contains substances which protect sensitive disperse dyes from reduction during the dyeing process.
The combination PERIGEN DPA/borax offers a good reproducibility of dyeings.
