PERICOAT VC 520 is used for the finishing and coating of technical textiles.
It can be used as well in combination with other polymers. Pretrials are recommended when mixing various polymers.
PERICOAT VC 520 is a self-crosslinking (at 150 °C) copolymer of vinyl chloride and ethylene. The product forms soft and dry films.
Due to the high content of chlorine PERICOAT VC 520 is best suited as a basic polymer for flame retardant finishings. To achieve a sufficient flame retardancy, the addition of a flame retardant agent like PERIGUARD FR/H (based on antimony trioxide and halogen compounds) is necessary.
Finishings with PERICOAT VC 520 are hot sealable as well as HF-weldable.
