Dispersion of PCM micro capsules with cooling effect
Using PERICOAT MICRO COOL 28 textiles made of native or synthetic fibres can be finished. As a storage medium for latent heat the product ensures a cooling effect and thus a pleasant wearing comfort.
PERICOAT MICRO COOL 28 is a water based dispersion of formaldehyde-free PCM micro capsules. The product is applied on textiles in combination with a binder, preferably free of formaldehyde.
The mode of action of the microcapsule is based on their capability to store latent heat. They are absorbing heat from the surrounding, thus causing a cooling effect. Thereby inside the microcapsule a phase change from solid to liquid takes place. When the ambient air cools down, there is a phase change from liquid to solid and the stored heat is released. Thus textiles finished with PERICOAT MICRO COOL 28 ensure a comfortable wear comfort.
