PERFIXAN PRE-DYE is used for the precationising of cotton. As by precationising the affinity to dyestuffs is strongly increased and thus dyestuff exhausts very rapidly an uniform application of PERFIXAN PRE-DYE is basic requirement for even dyeings.
For this reason we recommend to use pad-batch respectively pad-dry-steam process. At pad-dry-steam process an IR-predrying should be done in order to avoid undesired migration.
PERFIXAN PRE-DYE is a reactive auxiliary for the permanent cationising of cotton.
PERFIXAN PRE-DYE is applied on bleached cotton prior to dyeing. By the reactive bonding of PERFIXAN PRE-DYE on cotton a strong increase of the affinity to dyestuffs is achieved. By varying the concentration of PERFIXAN PRE-DYE the shade depth in the subsequent dyeing process can be influenced.
The precationsing is preferably carried out on cotton yarn. When processing (weaving, knitting) differently strong precationised yarns interesting tone-in-tone effects can be obtained in the following piece dyeing. In combination with non-precationised yarn and appropriate control of the dyeing process “white coloured” effects can also be created.
Differentiation of the depth of shade can additionally be controlled in the dyeing process. The strongest differences in depth of shade are achieved when the fabric is dyed without salt and alkali (even in case of reactive dyestuff).
Furthermore, PERFIXAN PRE-DYE can be applied to produce so called colour and dirt collector fabrics (dye grabber).
