The History of our Company
Our company history began in 1974 with the founding of a small chemical factory in Reutlingen. Dr. Jörg Petry, the chemist and the father of our current managing director, Dr. Friedrich Petry, had many innovative ideas on how to improve the textile-chemical finishing of stockings and yarns. He developed a revolutionary single-bath process for washing, dyeing, and finishing of polyamide stockings. Another ground-breaking development was the creation of a yarn lubricant, which was applied in an exhaustion process and made hard waxing obsolete.
Expansion of the Product Range
Innovative procedures and technical support were also in demand in other areas of textile finishing. Textile finishers conveyed their challenges to us and we then elaborated in our technical application and analytical laboratories. Our goal was to create a solution with our high-quality textile auxiliaries. The optimization of textile-chemical processes and the ability to ensure more sustainable textile productions have been important concerns for us from the very start.
Over a period of 50 years, we have grown from a specialized supplier in two selected fields to an experienced consultant in the entire field of textile finishing. Today, our innovative developmental projects include pretreatment, dyeing, finishing, coating, printing, and garment finishing.
Developing International Markets
For many years, we have been supplying textile finishing mills all over the world from our headquarters in Reutlingen. Here is also the location of our laboratories and main production facilities. We aim to be in close contact to all of our customers. For this reason, we founded a production site in Sennwald, Switzerland in the early 1980’s. Then, in 1996, we built our Turkish production plant in Istanbul. Last year (2017) we moved our Turkish facility to Cerkezköy, Turkey where we have been able to successfully increase our production capacities. Our subsidiary in Guangzhou, southern China was established in 2015. In addition, we have international representatives and distribution partners in many European, Asian and South American countries. Thus, our consulting services, as well as our textile auxiliaries, are available for all our customers worldwide.
ISO Certification for Quality and Environment
Quality and the environment have maintained a high level of high importance to us from the very start. Our management system was certified for first time in 1994. Since then, we are continuously audited and complete the external recertifications requirements according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and 14001 on a regular basis. For us, it is impertinent that we maintain our constant, high quality and meet our environmental and energy efficiency targets.
