Buffered neutral cellulase for biofinishing and stone washing of garments
PERIZYM 58 SPECIAL is used for the enzymatic stone wash of jeans and for removing of fibre fluffs on cellulosic garments on drum washing machines.
PERIZYM 58 SPECIAL is a slightly buffered and very effective neutral cellulase for the treatment of cotton and blends thereof. Due to the contained buffer it can be applied instead of PERIZYM 58 if the enzyme treatment has to be done in slightly alkaline process water. The product removes fibre fluffs on the surface of fabric thus resulting in a clear appearance of the goods, in an improved handle as well as in an increased shine. Same way the tendency to pilling is decreased. The absorbency of the material is improved.
Compared to a conventional acid cellulase PERIZYM 58 SPECIAL shows the following advantages:
-less backstaining on blue denim
-less brightening or colour changing on dyed fabric
-removal of lint on cellulosic garments at pH 5 – 8
-less loss of weight or strength than removing the fluffs with conventional acid cellulases
