PERISTAL BS

PERISTAL BS is a stabilizer for peroxide bleaching. The product is not surface active and, therefore, free of foam. PERISTAL BS is a good dispersing agent, increases the washing efficiency and the soil suspending properties of liquors which is of utmost importance especially with short liquor systems. PERISTAL BS can be used in the hot bleach as well as in the cold pad batch bleach. It stabilizes alkaline bleaching liquors at temperatures below 100 °C and at HT conditions. PERISTAL BS is highly resistant against alkali and can be added to highly concentrated alkali. PERISTAL BS is free of silicate and does not cause deposits. Fabrics bleached by application of PERISTAL BS have a good absorbency. Due to the complexing effect of PERISTAL BS fibre accompanying substances such as calcium and magnesium pectins and other earth alkali compounds can easily be dissolved. PERISTAL BS protects from catalytic damage when heavy metals in ionic form are present. However, it does not protect when metallic contaminations are present. In this case we recommend a pretreatment with acid.
