Fluorocarbon based on C6-chemistry for the water and oil repellent finishing
PERIGUARD NSF is used for water and oil repellent finishing of synthetic fibres, cotton and their blends.
To avoid a negative influence of the hydrophobic and oleophobic effects the following factors must be taken into account when finishing textiles:
·no residual alkali on the fabric
·free of surface-active substances (for example residual surfactants)
·no silicone residues on the fabric or in the machines
·good pretreatment of the fabric (complete removal of sizes, lubricants, preparations)
PERIGUARD NSF is a fluorocarbon product based on C6-chemistry for the water and oil repellent finishing of textiles. PERIGUARD NSF provides particularly synthetic fibres with excellent hydrophobic and oleophobic effects.
Finishings with PERIGUARD NSF show a good wash resistance. Normally, for fabrics made of pure polyester the restoration of the hydrophobic and oleophobic effects after washing does not necessitate a heat treatment. For fabrics made of other synthetic fibres (for example polyamide), cellulosic fibres or blends thereof a heat treatment like ironing or tumbling is recommended after washing.
